Janet Williams-İpek graduated with an Honours Degree in Education from the University of Wales, and she studied her Masters degree at Southeast Missouri University, one of the prominent universities in the USA.
Janet Williams-İpek specialised in Business Studies, Education Technologies and English as a Second Language teaching, and began her career by teaching international students in the USA. She helped establish a resource centre for trainee teachers at the university and mentored the undergraduates in their development of instructional materials. Continuing to focus on teacher development, she has accumulated many hours of teacher observation, needs analysis and training needs strategies and training sessions throughout her years in education. She has also participated in many successful projects in dual language education, been published and developed international syllabi in various countries throughout the years.
She continued her education by completing a Diploma in Management and has taken many post-graduate courses in education and business related fields. In recent years she has been invited to speak at education conferences around the world.
Janet Williams-İpek has been with Tarabya British Schools since the beginning and has helped to develop the system into an award-winning programme.
