Süleyman Doğan is a professor of Counseling and Guidance at Faculty of Education at Ege University. He had also worked as a faculty at Inönü University and at Gazi University. He had been at Ohio University as a visiting professor in USA during 1997-1998 academic year.
Professor Dogan has authored numbers of published articles, technical reports, and presentatations, especially on the development of counseling, counselor education, and school counseling in Turkey. Dr. Dogan also contributed to the Counseling and Guidance field in Turkey by being the editor of several well-known text book translations. He served as the dean of Faculty of Education at Ege University for five years and as the chair of the Counseling and Guidance Division for 20 years.
Dr. Dogan is the head of Educational Sciences Department at the present time. He is a member of Turkish Counseling and Guidance Association. He served on the Turkish Psychological Counseling and Guidance Association Administrative Committee for two years and on the Advisory Council for five years. He is the chairman of Turkish Psychological Counseling and Guidance Association Ethics Committee at the present time.
